Multi-resolution texture synthesis from turntable image sequences

摘要:

Texture synthesis and texture mapping are important technologies for rendering realistic three-dimensional scene. It has been widely used in virtual reality, urban modeling, 3D animation, gaming and other areas. In this paper, we propose a fast method to construct high quality texture map for multi-resolution texture synthesis from turntable image sequences. Given a 3D mesh model, we first get the projection relationship between 3D mesh and image sequences. We then use image sequences to construct a texture triangle for each 3D triangle mesh and get a global rectangular texture map for the whole mesh. Another approach to construct a texture map is using Stretch-minimizing mesh parameterization. Finally, we map the texture to mesh model to verify the quality of these two methods. The high performance of this method has been demonstrated in many real object models.

摘要: 提出一种基于多分辨率分解和去相关的模块化安全性与鲁棒性彩色图像水印方案。该方案主要目标是同时满足良好水印的4个要求(鲁棒性、安全性、不可察觉性和容量)。本研究的贡献在于实现一个基本满足这4个矛盾需求的水印方案。为此,结合不同方法以实现这个目的。例如,为获得不可察觉性,通过主成分分析去相关3个颜色(红绿蓝)通道,并选择第一个主成分(去相关红色通道)嵌入水印。为取得鲁棒性,采用离散小波变换(DWT)分解去相关信道,将近似带(其余3个带保持不变以保留边缘信息)进一步分解为不同区块。根据随机生成键选择随机区块。随机选取的区块进一步被分解为奇异值和向量。基于奇异值和向量矩阵的相互依赖性,并依据水印位,对数值进行修改,并保存这些数值的位置,将数值位置作为提取水印所需的另一个密钥。两级认证级别确保了安全性,同时使用奇异值和向量可提高该方案的容量。此外,在水印嵌入过程中,左右奇异向量与奇异值的结合增强了该方案的鲁棒性。最后,使用Gonzalez和Kodak数据集,从不可察觉性(峰值信噪比和结构相似性指数)、安全性(带多个伪密钥)、鲁棒性(归一化相关和误码率)和容量方面将该方案与已有方案作比。结果显示本文方案与现有方案相比有明显改进。

Detection for transverse corner cracks of steel plates’ surface using wavelet

摘要: An algorithm is presented for detecting transverse corner cracks at a steel plate surface using wavelet transform. According to characteristics of transverse corner crack images, the wavelet transform is used for the multi-scale analysis of detecting the image edges and disintegrating the image into four directions at the same time. The proper threshold value is chosen to segment the image into vertical components to obtain the final detection result. The experiment shows that transverse corner cracks of steel plates can be more effectively extracted by the proposed method than the other two common methods.

摘要: This study investigates the dynamic causal relationship between energy consumption and economic growth in the U.S. at different time scales. The main novelty of the study is that this paper complements the existing studies on the nexus between energy consumption and economic growth by employing the wavelet transformation to obtain different time scales in order to investigate causality between energy consumption and economic growth. This method is first developed by Ramsey and Lampart. Their approach consists of first decomposing the series into time scales by wavelet filters and testing causality of each time scale with the pertinent time scale of the other series separately. The data span from 1973q1 to 2012q1 on a quarterly basis. The main empirical insight is that the causal relationship is stronger at finer time scales, whereas the relationship is less and less apparent at longer time horizons. The results indicate that energy consumption causes economic growth, while the reverse is not true at the original frequency of the data. At the very finest scale the same result arises. However, at coarser scales feedback is observed. In particular, at intermediate time scales the evidence indicates that energy consumption causes economic growth, while the reverse is also true. These empirical findings are expected to be of high importance in terms of the effective design and implementation of energy and environmental policies, especially when a number of countries in the pursuit of high economic growth targets do not pay any serious attention on environmental issues.

Urban landscape classification using Chinese advanced high-resolution satellite imagery and an object-orientedmulti-variable model

摘要: The Chinese ZY-1 02C satellite is one of the most advanced high-resolution earth observation systems designed for terrestrial resource monitoring. Its capability for comprehensive landscape classification, especially in urban areas, has been under constant study. In view of the limited spectral resolution of the ZY-1 02C satellite (three bands), and the complexity and heterogeneity across urban environments, we attempt to test its performance of urban landscape classification by combining a multivariable model with an object-oriented approach. The multiple variables including spectral reflection, texture, spatial autocorrelation, impervious surface fraction, vegetation, and geometry indexes were first calculated and selected using forward stepwise linear discriminant analysis and applied in the following object-oriented classification process. Comprehensive accuracy assessment which adopts traditional error matrices with stratified random samples and polygon area consistency (PAC) indexes was then conducted to examine the real area agreement between a classified polygon and its references. Results indicated an overall classification accuracy of 92.63% and a kappa statistic of 0.9124. Furthermore, the proposed PAC index showed that more than 82% of all polygons were correctly classified. Misclassification occurred mostly between residential area and barren/farmland. The presented method and the Chinese ZY-1 02C satellite imagery are robust and effective for urban landscape classification.

溶解氧是水产养殖的重要指标,准确预测溶解氧浓度可有效提高水产品质量。本文提出了一种新的溶解氧混合预测模型,该模型包括多因素分析、自适应分解和优化集成三个阶段。首先,考虑到影响溶解氧浓度的因素复杂繁多,采用灰色关联度法筛选出与溶解氧关系最密切的环境因素,多因素的考虑使得模型融合更加有效。其次,运用经验小波变换方法自适应地将溶解氧、水温、盐度和氧饱和度等序列分解为子序列。然后,利用5个基准模型对经验小波变换分解出的子序列进行预测,这五个子预测模型的集成权重通过粒子群优化和引力搜索算法计算得出。最后,通过加权分配得到溶解氧多因素集成模型。来自太平洋岛屿海洋观测系统希洛WQB04站收集的时间序列数据验证了该模型的性能。实验的评价指标包括Nash-Sutcliffe效率系数、Kling-Gupta效率系数、平均绝对百分比误差、误差标准差和决定系数。实例分析表明:①所提出的模型能够获得优异的溶解氧预测结果;②该模型优于文中其他对比模型;③预测模型可用于分析溶解氧变化趋势,便于管理者能够做出更好的决策。

图像边缘检测二维小波算法研究与实现

摘要:

边沿作为图像视觉的最主要特征,成为图像信息获取的重要内容。小波变换具有检测局域突变的能力,而且可以结合多尺度信息进行检测,因此成为图像信息边缘检测的优良工具。根据二维小波变换的特点,分析了利用二维小波进行图像边缘检测的基本原理,并设计了利用二维小波变换进行多尺度边缘匹配的检测算法。基于研究结果,编写了计算机应用程序,进行实例分析。

基于纹理及小波分析的车牌定位方法

提出了一种基于纹理和小波分析的车牌定位方法。针对图像背景复杂,且车牌所占比例较小的特点,提出了一种确定基元分类阈值的二值化方法;根据车牌字符分布规律,提出了二值纹理基元分析方法,提取车牌候选区域;基于小波分析提取车牌区域竖笔画特征,采用隶属度定量表征车牌竖笔画特征、位置特征及形状特征,给出综合这些特征、从候选区域提取车牌区域的方法。测试结果表明,该方法正确定位率超过96%

Prediction of characteristic blast-induced vibration frequency during underground excavation by using wavelet

摘要: Blast-induced vibration produces a very complex signal, and it is very important to work out environmental problems induced by blasting. In this study, blasting vibration signals were measured during underground excavation in carbonaceous shale by using vibration pickup CB-30 and FFT analyzer AD-3523. Then, wavelet analysis on the measured results was carried out to identify frequency bands reflecting changes of blasting vibration parameters such as vibration velocity and energy in different frequency bands. Frequency characteristics are then discussed in view of blast source distance and charge weight per delay. From analysis of results, it can be found that peak velocity and energy of blasting vibration in frequency band of 62.5–125 Hz were larger than ones in other bands, indicating the similarity to characteristics in the distribution band (31–130 Hz) of main vibration frequency. Most frequency bands were affected by blasting source distance, and the frequency band of 0–62.5 Hz reflected the change of charge weight per delay. By presenting a simplified method to predict main vibration frequency, this research may provide significant reference for future blasting engineering.

对几何型面加工误差提出并建立了基于分形和小波的综合分析方法,可以精细分析几何型面加工误差的微细成分,并重构出型面轮廓加工误差曲线,以便进行公差与性能关系分析以及加工过程质量监控等相关工作。应用实例表明,该方法是非常有效的。

Combustion instability detection using the wavelet detail of pressure fluctuations

摘要: A combustion instability detection method that uses the wavelet detail of combustion pressure fluctuations is put forward. To confirm this method, combustion pressure fluctuations in a stoker boiler are recorded at stable and unstable combustion with a pressure transducer. Daubechies one-order wavelet is chosen to obtain the wavelet details for comparison. It shows that the wavelet approximation indicates the general pressure change in the furnace, and the wavelet detail magnitude is consistent with the intensity of turbulence and combustion noise. The magnitude of the wavelet detail is nearly constant when the combustion is stable, however, it will fluctuate much when the combustion is unstable.

High resolution satellite imaging sensors for precision agriculture

The central concept of precision agriculture is to manage within-field soil and crop growth variability for more efficient use of farming inputs. Remote sensing has been an integral part of precision agriculture since the farming technology started developing in the mid to late 1980s. Various types of remote sensors carried on ground-based platforms, manned aircraft, satellites, and more recently, unmanned aircraft have been used for precision agriculture applications. Original satellite sensors, such as Landsat and SPOT, have commonly been used for agricultural applications over large geographic areas since the 1970s, but they have limited use for precision agriculture because of their relatively coarse spatial resolution and long revisit time. Recent developments in high resolution satellite sensors have significantly narrowed the gap in spatial resolution between satellite imagery and airborne imagery. Since the first high resolution satellite sensor IKONOS was launched in 1999, numerous commercial high resolution satellite sensors have become available. These imaging sensors not only provide images with high spatial resolution, but can also repeatedly view the same target area. The high revisit frequency and fast data turnaround time, combined with their relatively large aerial coverage, make high resolution satellite sensors attractive for many applications, including precision agriculture. This article will provide an overview of commercially available high resolution satellite sensors that have been used or have potential for precision agriculture. The applications of these sensors for precision agriculture are reviewed and application examples based on the studies conducted by the author and his collaborators are provided to illustrate how high resolution satellite imagery has been used for crop identification, crop yield variability mapping and pest management. Some challenges and future directions on the use of high resolution satellite sensors and other types of remote sensors for precision agriculture are discussed.

子波分析在声辐射和声散射中的应用

文章提出将子波分析用于求解声学中的边界积分方程,能提高现有边界元方法解决工程问题的能力。在子波分析于声辐射和声散射的应用研究中,提出了把积分核函数用级数展开,建立频率响应函数计算的频率迭代技术,大大提高了频率响应函数的计算效率。讨论了子波分析在声学工程数值计算中的研究前景。
